Wow I thought this was pretty bad. I know I am in the minority but I found the plot was really thin. I also felt all the characters were incredibly 'thick'(except Bove) esp. Emma & her family. IMO, There are far better paranormal 'romance' books. I just didn't connect w/the characters at all nor the author's justifications for their actions.

I went back and read The Warlord Wants Forever when I finished it b/c I wanted to know what was going on with Myst and Wroth (you could tell there was a story there, but had no idea what it was). Apparently this series is all about the women being bullied into submission by the 'hero' of the story. The first one is apparently a little 'rapey' in that the sex scene starts off forced and then the woman eventually submits.
